Samsung's 2026 European Lineup, Model by Model
Samsung's 2026 range is the largest it has ever sold in Europe and, thanks to one baffling naming decision, the hardest to navigate. There are four S26 phones, three foldables, two tablets, two watches and a pair of glasses that has been announced but not released. Somewhere in there is the phone you want. The good news is that almost everything now carries a seven-year update promise, so a wrong choice is survivable. Here is the whole lineup, decoded model by model.

The Galaxy S26 family: four phones, one chipset split
The Samsung Galaxy S26, Samsung Galaxy S26+ and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra were announced in San Francisco on 25 February 2026 and released on 11 March, with the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE following on 4 September. The Edge model was cancelled after the S25 Edge sold poorly. The critical European detail is silicon: the S26 and S26+ carry the Exynos 2600 outside North America, China and Japan, while the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra ships the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy worldwide. The S26 FE uses the Exynos 2500 everywhere. All three main models start at 256GB with 12GB of RAM, and the 1TB Ultra steps to 16GB.
What to buy and what to skip in the S26 range
Buy the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. It is the only phone in the world with the Privacy Display, which narrows the screen's viewing angle at panel level and can be scoped to individual apps, and it pairs that with a 200MP main camera at f/1.4, a 5x periscope at f/2.9 using the new All Lens On Prism assembly, 60W charging and the S Pen. Buy the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE if the outlay matters more than the specification, because it inherits the seven-year policy. Skip the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Samsung Galaxy S26+ unless you find them heavily reduced, since their camera hardware is unchanged from the S25 generation.
The foldables, and the naming trap
Read this paragraph twice before ordering. Samsung unveiled its foldables in London on 22 July 2026 and released them on 7 August. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is the new wide, passport-shaped model: a 5.5-inch cover screen, a 7.6-inch 4:3 inner panel and 201g, making it the lightest book-style foldable sold anywhere. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is the successor to the Z Fold 7: a 6.5-inch 21:9 cover screen, an 8.0-inch inner panel reaching 3,000 nits, a 200MP main camera and 215g. The clamshell Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 arrived the same day at 180g with a 6.9-inch main display.
Which foldable, and the compromise nobody mentions
Take the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 if you read and write on your phone, because the 4:3 shape is transformative for documents and the weight is genuinely lower than a conventional flagship. Take the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra if you photograph, because the standard model has only two rear cameras and no telephoto at all. Both moved to silicon-carbon cells with 45W wired charging, up from the 25W the line was stuck on since the Z Fold 4. Neither supports the S Pen, neither gets the Privacy Display, and both are rated IP48, which handles water well and dust poorly. iFixit was critical of the hinge.
Tablets: two sizes, a pen in the box
Samsung unveiled the tablet line on 4 September 2025 and released it on 19 September, dropping the 12.4-inch Plus and returning the base 11-inch model. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is 5.1mm thick with a 1848x2960 Dynamic AMOLED 2X at 120Hz, now up to 1,600 nits, plus the anti-reflective coating carried over from the Tab S10 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 is 5.5mm with a 1600x2560 panel at the same brightness. Both run a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ on a 3nm process, accept microSD cards, include a redesigned hexagonal S Pen and carry seven years of updates from an Android 16 base.
Wearables: a new chip, a missing Classic and glasses in waiting
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 were announced alongside the foldables on 22 July 2026 and released on 7 August. They are the first Galaxy Watches to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite platform rather than the Exynos W1000, and the first to ship Wear OS 7 with One UI 9 Watch. No Classic variant was announced this year. The Watch 9 comes in 40mm and 44mm aluminium cases with sapphire crystal at 8.6mm thick and a 390mAh cell; the Watch Ultra 2 is a single 47mm grade-4 titanium case, 12 per cent thinner than its predecessor despite a 35 per cent larger battery.
Announced but not yet on sale: Samsung Galaxy Glasses
Samsung unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Glasses at the same London event on 22 July 2026, and they have not been released. The company has said autumn 2026, so at the time of writing there is no retail hardware and no independent review of any kind. What is confirmed: a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chip with most processing offloaded to a paired Android or iOS phone, a 12MP front camera, stereo speakers in the temples, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a physical privacy toggle on one arm, roughly nine hours of quoted battery life and a charging case good for about seven more. They run Android XR with One UI XR, built around Google Gemini.
What is rumoured, and what to wait for
Treat everything in this section as unconfirmed. The Samsung Galaxy Glasses release window is the only near-term item Samsung itself has stated, and autumn 2026 is already here, so a launch is plausible within weeks. Reporting before the July event suggested the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 might be Samsung's last clamshell, which was subsequently walked back. Beyond that, the S27 generation is far enough out that nothing credible exists. If you want a Samsung device now, the honest advice is to buy the current model rather than wait, because the seven-year update policy protects the purchase better than a rumour does.
