Privacy Policy

• No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, so we hold no names, passwords or profiles for readers.
• No forms or newsletter. We do not ask for your email address anywhere on the site.
• No cookies set by us on these pages, and no browser storage used to identify or follow you.
• No advertising network trackers, no retargeting pixels, and no sale or sharing of personal information.

Three things, all limited:

• Hosting logs. Our host, Vercel, processes ordinary web request data in order to serve the site and defend it from abuse. That includes IP address and browser user agent. We do not build reader profiles from it.
• Affiliate click events. When you click a link to a retailer, we record that a click happened: which brand, which page, and which region the link belongs to. We do not store your IP address, your browser user agent or any identifier for you alongside it. It is a counter, not a trail.
• Database and infrastructure records needed to run the site, such as our article database (Neon) and the server logs our host keeps.

We do not currently load Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics script on this site. Our code supports Google Analytics 4 and it is switched off. If we ever turn it on, we will say so here and change the date at the top of this page before it starts collecting anything.

Affiliate links send you to the retailer, sometimes via an affiliate network that records the referral. Those companies set their own cookies and apply their own privacy policies, which we do not control and cannot see into. Once you land on their site, you are their visitor and their policy governs what they collect. If you want to know what a particular retailer records, read the policy on their own site.

The site is hosted on Vercel and our content database is operated by Neon, both in the United States. If you read from the UK or the EEA, that means your request data is processed outside your country. Those providers offer standard contractual clauses for such transfers.

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and securing a publication and in measuring whether our recommendations are useful. Because we ask for no personal data, there is normally nothing here that identifies you. Hosting logs are kept by our provider for their own limited retention period; affiliate click records hold no personal identifiers and are kept as aggregate counts.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to our processing. Email hello@ntkb.online and we will respond within 30 days. In practice we usually hold nothing that identifies an individual reader, and we will tell you plainly when that is the case. UK and EEA readers also have the right to complain to their national data protection authority.

This site is intended for adults shopping for consumer products. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than slipped in quietly. See also our Affiliate Disclosure and Terms.
